Together they have developed a device for water cleaning for developing countries, using carbon nanotube technology. In the finals they competed with research groups from SINTEF in Oslo and NTNU in Trondheim.
- The procedure for the competition was through the audience of the seminar voting after having heard presentations from the three finalists, Associate Professor Knur E. Aasmundtveit explains.
- The audience was a very broad one indeed, with researchers from NTNU, UiO, UiB, UNIK/ IFE, SINTEF, HiVe, industry people, research council, secretary of state etc. The number of people on the attendance list was approximately 150.
- This is an important award, says Duy-Tho Do, dean of Faculty of/Faculty of Technology and Maritime Sciences. Representatives for the Norwegian Research Council, two ministeries and leading research industries were represented in the audience.
NANOMAT is the Norwegian National cooperation on nano technology organized by the Norwegian Research Council. Partners are SINTEF, NTNU, University of Oslo and Vestfold University College.
