Music

Music

Sist oppdatert 27.05.2010 av Birgit Andrine Apenes Solem

Everyone has potential in the field of music. Musical knowledge can be acquired by composing, playing an instrument, through research, and through pedagogical activity. Understanding music requires an understanding of the different aspects of music such as melody, rhytm, sound, harmony, texture, tempo, tonality and form. At the same time, the actual experience of music is of vital importance to both the individual listener and practicioner.

VUC offers a total of 90 ECTS of Music divided into smaller modules of 15 ECTS each.  Key words in our modules in Music studies are artist development, communication with music and music education at school. We can offer 15 ECTS modules taught in English if there is sufficient demand.
