Sist oppdatert 08.01.2010 av Maija Heinilä

It is automatically some questions that arise in connection with rental of a room. The most common, we have already answered below. You are of course welcome to contact us if you can not find answers to your questions.

I have considered applying / have applied to study at HVE, when should I apply for housing?
As soon as possible. Student Welfare Association (SIV) has continuous assignment. You can apply for housing from 1 or 15 of each month.

Can I apply for housing even if I do not know if I come in?
Yes, you can.

What if I get a room but  don`t get submitted as a student?

If you have assigned a contract from 15th of  August, and in July are notified that you have not fbeen submittet as a student,-give us immediate feedback about this and the tenancy is terminated.

Pre-paid rent will be refunded.
BUT! If you choose to rent from an earlier date, f.ex 1 July, and do not get assigned as a student; give us immediate feedback and we will  findt a solution together to the termination of the contract.

In this case, you have to expect financial obligations in the lease.

Will I have to rent a room from an earlier date?

In some cases you will have to rent a room from an earlier date to get a room. We will offer the student on our waitinglist free rooms when they get available. If this date is earlier that the date you want to move in, you still have to pay for those extra days. Some of you will have to do this if you want to bee sure to get a room.

How do I apply?
You have to apply for housing online. This is done under the tab "Apply for housing". Once the application is filled out correctly, you will receive a receipt on the screen in addition to an e-mail that the application has been received.

When can I expect response to the housing application?
We will contact you as soon as we have some free rooms. You can follow the "My Page". Use the password you received when registering the application. Here you can see if your application is processed / when it was processed and witch number you are on the waitinglist.
