Student ID Card

Sist oppdatert 22.09.2010 av Maija Heinilä

All students should have a student ID card. Student ID cards are issued on the first day of the semester. You must pay the semester fee and register for the semester. Note: all exchange students are exempt from paying the semester fee, but they must be registered.

For degree-seeking international students: when the fee is paid, bring your receipt and valid identification with a photo (passport, bank card or driver’s license) to the Information Desk (Høgskoletorget) and you will get a sticker on your student ID card. This sticker renders your card valid, and by presenting the card you are entitled to discounts on buses, etc.

The student ID card is in the same format as a bank card.  Functions are installed onto the card so that it can also be used as a library card and key card to access certain rooms and buildings. You receive a personal code which must be used to access the buildings after closing time. Included in the card is the purchase of 100 photo copies; if you need more, you can buy a refill.
