Studying for a doctorate (PhD)
On attaining a Master’s degree, is it possible to study for a doctorate (Degree of Doctor of Philosophy) in technology. HVE works with many universities and has entered into an agreement with the University of Oslo (Universitet i Oslo - UiO). HVE has 20 research fellows in technology and has now applied for accreditation of its own PhD degree in applied micro and nanosystems.
The agreements that have been entered into will help to recruit and train new and good candidates of high international quality for the knowledge-intensive business sector in Vestfold. An even better climate of cooperation will be created between the technology-based business environment and the university sector.
The agreements will mean that:
HVE can offer doctoral courses to new candidates. The quality of candidates and the programme shall at all times satisfy the current rules.
HVE may be responsible for the course and the content of the scientific dissertation within the PhD programme.
